We will have breakfast at around 5:30 am and begin our hike to the highest pass on this trek at (4650m)\/(15091ft), located halfway between 2 huge mountains; Salkantay on the right and Tucarhuay on the left.
From the pass, the view of the 2 snow-capped mountains is incredible. After a rest, we will continue our walk (downhill) through a dramatic cloud forest towards\u00a0Wayraqmachay<\/strong>, where we will have lunch. We hike again after lunch for approximately 3 hours towards the jungle until we reach our campsite.

After breakfast, at 6:30 am, we start trekking through the upper jungle crossing the Lluskamayo. Today we will pass through valleys and have wonderful views of waterfalls, tropical fruits, and plants. We will camp in the warm climate of La Playa Sahuayacu (2500m) \/ (8202ft).

We will have breakfast at 6:30 am and then head for Llactapata, a 3-hour steady climb. Llactapata is an incredible Inca fort from which we will see\u00a0Machu Picchu<\/a>! After some photos and rest, we will continue on a 2-hour downhill hike passing a variety of plantations that produce coca, bananas, etc., until we reach the hydroelectric station.
At about 13:00 pm, we will take the lunch in the station where we will say goodbye to all staff, and continue with the hike until Aguas Calientes Town where we will spend a night in the hotel.

The last day of the Salkantay hike, you will have breakfast at your hotel, and then your tour guide will pick you up and take you to the bus station, where you\u2019ll board the bus that will take you up to the\u00a0majestic Machu Picchu<\/strong>.
The visit will begin early, filled with the excitement of exploring one of the\u00a0New Seven Wonders of the World<\/strong>. Once there, you\u2019ll enjoy a\u00a0guided walking tour of approximately 2.5 hours<\/strong>, discovering the fascinating history, temples, terraces, and breathtaking views of this sacred site. Please remember to bring your\u00a0valid passport<\/strong>\u00a0for entry into Machu Picchu.
After this unforgettable experience, you\u2019ll take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes for lunch, collect your bags from the hotel, and then board the train back to\u00a0Cusco or Ollantaytambo<\/strong>.
