The adventure continues as you journey to the legendary Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake on Earth. You’ll explore the incredible man-made Uros floating islands and immerse yourself in authentic Quechua culture during a magical homestay on Amantani Island. From the high plains, a scenic touristic bus ride takes you to the sacred heart of the Inca Empire: Cusco. After a day to acclimate and explore its cobblestone streets, you’ll board a legendary train winding through the cloud forest to the gateway of Machu Picchu. The climax of your trip is the breathtaking encounter with the Lost City of the Incas, a mystical and monumental citadel shrouded in mist and history. Detailed itinerary of the Peru Diversity Tour:
Day 1: Flight from USA to Lima.
The tour will start with your international flight from the USA to Lima – Peru, Our flights are operated by commercial airlines and they leave from different cities in the USA and have different duration and arrival times.
Day 2: City tour in Lima “Gastronomical capital of South America”.
After you get to the airport in Lima, a representative of Kaypi Peru Tours will pick you up to take you to the hotel in Miraflores area. (Just take note that our representative will wait for you with a banner of our company “GREEN KAYPI HUMMINGBIRD” in the international arrival area).
Once you arrive at the hotel in the Miraflores area, you will have time to rest and enjoy your included breakfast. Afterwards, at approximately 9:00 AM, your Lima City Tour will begin with transportation and a tour guide. You will visit the following places:
» Miraflores Downtown and the Park of Love.
» Historical Center of Lima, the Country Hall, the Cathedral.
» San Francisco Monastery and Catacombs.
The afternoon will be free of activities. You will spend the night in Lima – Miraflores area.
Day 3: Flight to the white city Arequipa – free afternoon.
Our representative will pick you up to take you to Lima Airport, where you will catch your flight to the second largest city in Peru: the White City, Arequipa. Upon your arrival at the airport, our representative will pick you up and take you to your hotel.
The afternoon is free for your own activities. The city center, where your hotel is located, offers many things to do, such as visiting the Santa Catalina Monastery or La Campiña Arequipeña.
You will spend the night in Arequipa.
Day 4: On the way to the Colca Canyon – hotel night in Chivay.
The day will begin with your breakfast, followed by a bus journey to the town of Chivay. The bus ride will take approximately five hours. Along the way, you will see several small villages and spot alpacas, vicuñas, and llamas. There will be a few stops to take pictures of the beautiful landscapes.
Upon arrival in Chivay, you will have time for lunch and to enjoy this beautiful traditional town. You may choose to visit the thermal baths located nearby.
You will spend the night in Chivay.
Day 5: On the way to the Colca canyon – bus to Puno – hotel night.
You will wake up very early in the morning for a light breakfast before taking the bus to the Cruz del Cóndor. There, you will have the opportunity to witness the majestic flight of the condors. With luck, you will see all the members of a condor family. After this experience, you will return to Chivay for lunch before departing for Puno. You are scheduled to arrive in the city of Puno around 7:00 PM.
You will spend the night in Puno.
Day 6: Titicaca lake tour, Uros floating islands and Amantani homestay
This day will begin with your breakfast at the hotel, after your breakfast the tour guide and our local transportation will pick you up to take you to the harbor where you will be able to buy some stuff as presents for the host families, the presents will be stuff that you can bring from your country as well.
After 30 minutes boat ride you will arrive at the Uros floating islands where you will have a meeting with this pre-Inca civilization and will be able to learn about their daily life and how to build their reed islands, you’ll have time to interact with them.
At 11:30 a.m. We will depart from the Uros Islands to the natural island of Amantaní. Upon arrival, you will be assigned to a local host family where you will enjoy a traditional lunch. In the afternoon, We will have chance to climb to the top of the Island and visit one of the sacred temples, Pachamama or Pachatata and enjoy a spectacular sunset. After enjoying this spectacle we will return back to the family house where a delicious dinner will be waiting for us. After dinner, we have one of the nicest cultural activities of the day where our local host family will let us were their traditional clothes and we will immerse ourselves into the local dance festival that the comunity will organize for us. Finally, you will spend the night on Amantaní Island in a cozy family home.
Day 7: Titicaca lake tour, Taquile island, and boat back to Puno city
We will begin the day after breakfast at a family home, then we will take a short boat ride to the neighboring Taquile Island, where we will tour around the town, plaza and visit these beautiful people, world-famous for their intricate and fascinating weavings, they were named as Immaterial heritage of the world by UNESCO. you have the opportunity to visit their market, after your typical lunch, we take the return trip to Puno where we will spend the night in the same hotel, the boat ride back to Puno will be 3 hours approximately.
You will arrive in Puno with enough time to continue with your exploring of the city.
You will spend the night in Puno City.
Day 8: On the way to the ancient capital of the inkas, hotel night in Cusco
We will pick you up at 6:30 am to take you to the bus station where you will take the bus to Cusco. This is the most noteworthy bus trip in the south of Peru that probably is more like a tour – it stops at four interesting sites along the way where you have guided tours:
» Pukara: This is the most important and oldest ceremonial center of the altiplano.
» La Raya: This is the half-way point between Cusco and Puno (14300 feet’s), in conclusion, the highest point of your tour.
» Sicuani: you will have a really nice buffet lunch included in this town.
» Raqchi (Wiracocha God Temple): This was an Inca temple of monumental dimensions.
» Andahuyalillas: Sistine chapel of South America, the Catholic church.
After your arrival to Cusco City, a representative of Kaypi Peru tours will pick you up and take you to the hotel in Cusco.
You will spend the night in Cusco City.
Day 9: Free day in Cusco city, hotel night in Cusco
The day is yours to spend at your leisure. Kaypi Peru Tours does offer extra day tours and excursions in Cusco for an additional cost. The highlight in Cusco is the SACRED VALLEY TOUR, but we have more options for you such as:

You will spend the night in Cusco city.
Day 10: On the way to Machupicchu – hotel night in Machupicchu town
We will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the train station located in the town of Ollantaytambo. On the way to the train station, we will stop in the Raqchi community, where the alpaca and llama farm is located. There, you will have a chance to interact with this beautiful animals and learn about the andean textiles, after this unforgettable experience we will continue to the train station.
You must bring a valid passport for all train travel. The train ride lasts approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes or 2 hours. After your arrival in Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu town, our representative will meet you and take you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy. You can visit the Orchid Museum, the Chávez Ballón Museum, the Machu Picchu Site Museum, or the thermal baths in Aguas Calientes. You will spend the night in the city of Aguas Calientes.
Day 11: Machupicchu tour and train back to Cusco city, hotel night in Cusco
You will have breakfast at your hotel, and then your tour guide will pick you up and take you to the bus station, where you’ll board the bus that will take you up to the majestic Machu Picchu.
The visit will begin early, filled with the excitement of exploring one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Once there, you’ll enjoy a guided walking tour of approximately 2.5 hours, discovering the fascinating history, temples, terraces, and breathtaking views of this sacred site. Please remember to bring your valid passport for entry into Machu Picchu.
After this unforgettable experience, you’ll take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes for lunch, collect your bags from the hotel, and then board the train back to Cusco or Ollantaytambo. The train journey takes approximately 1 hour 45 minutes to 3 hours, depending on the train service and your destination station. Upon arrival, a Kaypi Peru Tours representative will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel in Cusco.
You will spend the night in Cusco City, surrounded by the charm and magic of the Andes.
Day 12: Transfer to the airport, flight to Lima and to the USA.
Our representative will pick you up from your hotel to take you to the airport where you will catch the flight to Lima and the connection flight to the USA.
