Itinerary of Peru Amazon tour
Day 1: Flight from the USA to Lima.
The tour will start with your international flight from the USA to Lima, Perú. Our flights are operated by commercial airlines and they leave from different cities in the USA and have different durations and arrival times.
Day 2: City Tour in Lima, “Gastronomical Capital of South America”.
Tras su llegada al aeropuerto de Lima, un representante de Kaypi Peru Tours le recogerá para llevarle al hotel en la zona de Miraflores. (Tenga en cuenta que nuestro representante le estará esperando con un cartel de nuestra empresa, “GREEN KAYPI HUMMINGBIRD”, en la zona de llegadas internacionales).
Una vez que llegue al hotel en la zona de Miraflores, tendrá tiempo para descansar y disfrutar del desayuno incluido. Posteriormente, aproximadamente a las 9:00 a. m., comenzará su recorrido por la ciudad de Lima con transporte y guía turístico. Visitará los siguientes lugares:
» El centro de Miraflores y el Parque del Amor.
» Centro histórico de Lima, la Casa de Gobierno, la Catedral.
» Monasterio y Catacumbas de San Francisco.
La tarde estará libre de actividades. Pasarás la noche en la zona de Lima-Miraflores.
Day 3: Free day in Lima.
After having breakfast in the hotel, you will have a completely free day in the gastronomical capital of South America, and depending on the time that you have can coordinate some of the activities that we can recommend to you:

» Caral the ancient civilization in America.
You will spend the night in Lima – Miraflores area.
Day 4: Flight to Puerto Maldonado – Peruvian Jungle Tour.
Our day will start with your pick up from the hotel to take you to the airport to catch the flight to Puerto Maldonado. Once arrive there, we will transfer you to the City where we will get on our boat and begin the unforgettable journey through the Madre de Dios River. On the way, you could observe the alligators, turtles, herons, and other animals.
Arriving at the lodge, you will enjoy the exquisite typical welcome drink, and then you will settle into comfortable bungalows to have your lunch. With the help of our specialized guide, we will visit Monkey Island, located only five minutes from the lodge, in the middle of the Madre de Dios River.
The monkey island hosts different monkey species: starting from the noisy ones, the Maquisapas, the happy Achuñis, and the very impressive Frailes, to the very little and funny “leoncitos”, little lions.
On the way to the Island, you will see very beautiful landscapes with all the flora and fauna that they host, as well as the amazing sunset in the jungle.
Day 5: Jungle Tour Apu Victor.
The day will start with the beautiful birds singing. We’ll start our journey with a hike to the depths of the woods, special paths with britches to cross the gaps. During the journey, we will observe the caiman’s cave. Then we will continue and arrive at the majestic Apu Victor Lake, beautiful, crystalline waters, surrounded by huge swamps, giant trees.
Later we will climb up our Amazon Peru Tours Observatory, where We will have a panoramic view of the lake, we will observe parrots, guacamayos, toucans, camungo, shanshos, herons, and If we are lucky enough we could observe one of the most spectacular animals of the jungle, the giant nutria, Then after many hours, we will return to the lodge and lunch. In the afternoon, we will visit the Gamitana river, which is born in the heart of the jungle.
On its shores, we could observe turtles, caimans, butterflies, and some other animals. You may swim in its waters. Then return and have dinner.
Day 6: Jungle Tour, The Lost Lake.
After breakfast, we will start an adventure in the virgin rainforest, and accompanied by a local guide, we´ll go on a hike in the deep jungle, to get to the Lost Cocha, which constitutes a refuge and feeding ecosystem for a huge variety of animals. There, we´ll have the chance to observe Otters, Caimans, Turtles, Sachavacas (Tapirs), Birds with multicolored feathers, the majestic Jaguar, and a variety of fish species. This area is unique and proper to the Ecoamazonia´s Ecological Reserve, which maintains it intact, with huge swamps and diverse “aguajales”.
Day 7: Jungle Tour and Flight to Cusco.
The day will begin with your last breakfast in the Jungle, and after that, your boat and private Bus will take you to the airport to take your flight to Cusco.
Once arrive in Cusco, we will pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel located in the city center.

Day 8: Walking tour in the Ancient Capital of the Incas.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will begin your walking city tour. Along the way, you will visit:

» Plaza Nazarenas
» The San Blas neighborhood
» The Twelve-Angled Stone
» Plaza San Francisco and the Mercado Central de San Pedro
The afternoon is free of scheduled activities, giving you time to explore the city at your own pace.

Day 9: Free day in Cusco city – Optional tours available.

Day 10: On the way to Machupicchu – Hotel night in Machupicchu town
Los recogeremos en su hotel y los llevaremos a la estación de tren de Ollantaytambo. De camino, haremos una parada en la comunidad de Raqchi, donde se encuentra la granja de alpacas y llamas. Allí tendrán la oportunidad de interactuar con estos hermosos animales y aprender sobre los textiles andinos. Después de esta experiencia inolvidable, continuaremos hacia la estación de tren.
Es imprescindible llevar un pasaporte válido para viajar en tren. El trayecto dura aproximadamente 1 hora y 45 minutos o 2 horas. A su llegada a Aguas Calientes, también conocida como Machu Picchu, nuestro representante le recibirá y le llevará a su hotel. El resto del día es libre para que lo disfrute. Puede visitar el Museo de las Orquídeas, el Museo Chávez Ballón, el Museo del Sitio de Machu Picchu o las termas de Aguas Calientes. Pasará la noche en la ciudad de Aguas Calientes.
Day 11: Machupicchu Tour and Train back to Cusco City, Hotel night in Cusco
Desayunarás en tu hotel y luego tu guía turístico te recogerá y te llevará a la estación de autobuses, donde abordarás el autobús que te llevará hasta el majestuoso Machu Picchu.
La visita comenzará temprano, llena de la emoción de explorar uno de los Nuevas Siete Maravillas del Mundo. Una vez allí, disfrutarás de una Visita guiada a pie de aproximadamente 2,5 horas., descubriendo la fascinante historia, los templos, las terrazas y las impresionantes vistas de este sitio sagrado. Por favor, recuerde traer su pasaporte válido para entrar a Machu Picchu.
Después de esta experiencia inolvidable, tomarás el autobús de regreso a Aguas Calientes para almorzar, recogerás tus maletas del hotel y luego abordarás el tren de regreso a Cusco u Ollantaytambo. El viaje en tren dura aproximadamente de 1 hora y 45 minutos a 3 horas, dependiendo del servicio de tren y de la estación de destino.
